GPRS Protocols Training
Who Should Attend?
The course is intended for network engineers, and anyone with network experience, who needs deep technical knowledge on functionality of GPRS.
Course Content
- GPRS Service introduction. Introducing information about services available over GPRS and architecture of mobile networks, utilizing platform for packet transmission. All protocols, used for inter-working of GPRS platform are discussed. Path from GPRS into UMTS is shown and explained.
- RLC/MAC protocols.
- Frame Relay protocol.
- Network Service protocol.
- BSSGP protocol.
- LLC protocol.
- GMM/SM protocol.
- IP protocol.
- UDP/TCP protocols.
- GTP protocol.
- SNDCP protocol.
Course Objectives
During GPRS Protocols course participants will become familiar with GPRS service and architecture of GPRS platform over GSM network. They will acquire practical knowledge of protocols used for inter-working of GPRS, mainly on Gb and Gn interfaces. Practical knowledge on protocols used in GPRS/GSM will help to analyze signalling messages exchanged on various interfaces between GPRS platform components, understand those messages and do troubleshooting.
Pre-requisites
Participants should have a general knowledge of Telecommunication, be familiar with GSM architecture and protocols used in GSM. Therefore we highly advise attending two other trainings:
Training Structure
Three days training divided into logical sessions.
Methodology
Instructor led training. Live traces & exercises.
