Course Objectives
Explain and understand the overall process of indoor planning. After completing the course, students should know how to:
- perform capacity dimensioning,
- calculate power out from BTS,
- calculate SS (design and required level),
- derive the correct antenna configuration,
- correctly plan and position antennas inside the building (up to the building structure),
- calculate signal attenuation,
- assign RF frequencies,
- control the traffic from/to indoor cell,
- perform basic tuning and optimization of indoor system.
Pre-requisites
Good knowledge and understanding of GSM system. Basic knowledge about general cell planning process.
Training Structure
Two day training divided into logical sessions. Exercises and calculations, path loss estimation – different methods used, case study.
