Course Objectives
Explain and understand the overall process of indoor planning. After completing the course, students should know how to:

  • perform capacity dimensioning,
  • calculate power out from BTS,
  • calculate SS (design and required level),
  • derive the correct antenna configuration,
  • correctly plan and position antennas inside the building (up to the building structure),
  • calculate signal attenuation,
  • assign RF frequencies,
  • control the traffic from/to indoor cell,
  • perform basic tuning and optimization of indoor system.

Pre-requisites
Good knowledge and understanding of GSM system. Basic knowledge about general cell planning process.

Training Structure
Two day training divided into logical sessions. Exercises and calculations, path loss estimation – different methods used,  case study.

Methodology
Instructor led training.
