Who Should Attend?
The course is intended for anyone who needs an introduction to various aspects of telecommunications networks of different kinds, their architecture and functionality – on basic level. The detailed description of technical solutions is not included in the course.

- Evolution of telecommunications networks from traditional telephone networks toward networks capable of transmitting both voice and data to fixed and mobile users.
- Connection set-up in telephone and computer networks.
- The architecture of fixed and mobile communications.
- Third generation mobile communications systems.
- Current trends in telecom world.
Course Objectives
Telecommunications Basics course presents the wide range of topics connected with the modern telecommunications networks: public switched telephone networks, mobile communications systems, including GSM and UMTS networks, computer networks and Internet. With the Telecommunications Basics course the participants may begin their telecommunications education, extending the knowledge with more advanced courses, which are also available.

There are no prerequisites to attend the course.
